Members Ranger Dave Posted March 4, 2013 Members Posted March 4, 2013 Has any one stayed at the Micro-tel Motel just south of I-44 at US 71? They call the street Richard Joseph Blvd in this area. I was thinking about staying here while fishing the Spring River this spring. There isn't a lot of choices near Twin Bridges and I figured the Miami are would be crowded on the weekends due to the casinos. Does any one recommend any good places to staty near Twin Bridges on Spring River?
Bird Watcher Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Why not stay at one of the casinos and be 40 minutes closer? Indigo Sky in Seneca is 10 minutes from 3 or 4 ramps on Spring River and was just completed last fall. To your original question. Yes. I have about 15 years ago. It was nice then.
ollie Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I'm with Bird Watcher on this one. That seems a little far to drive when you have other options closer. No, those other places closer will not be filled up this time of year, even the casinos. Members Ranger Dave Posted March 5, 2013 Author Members Posted March 5, 2013 What does a room at Indigo sky go for? The Micro-Tel with my AARP card is $49.
Members Ranger Dave Posted March 5, 2013 Author Members Posted March 5, 2013 I checked out Indigo Sky on the web. At $89 per night (on the low end) I think I would rather drive 30 miles and stay at Micro-tel for $50
ollie Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 That's a good price, but I would still check into the other hotels in Miami. I think you will find them not as crowded as you think. Although you do have better dining options being at Joplin. Neosho has a couple of decent motels and you are still within 30 miles easy of where you want to be too.
