Members JimG Posted March 4, 2013 Members Posted March 4, 2013 Any white bass reports? Probably still to early, but we got to be getting close.
Bill Butts Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I haven't heard a single report from either Big or Little Sac, yet. Yes, it should be getting close. You would certainly find some Walleye up in the river doing their thing. Probably some male Whites, too, scouting things out for the upcoming spawn. Good luck if you go, and please post a report with water temp. Thanks! Bill Butts Springfield MO "So many fish, so little time"
Members JimG Posted March 5, 2013 Author Members Posted March 5, 2013 Thanks Bill, I have a trip planned for the 29, but if I get a chance to go ealier I'll post how it went.
Members Saltydawg Posted March 10, 2013 Members Posted March 10, 2013 Went to Taylor on the 9th. Nothing. Went to steel bridge and one guy had one or two little males. Give it a week
Bill Butts Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 A buddy of mine fished the Little Sac also, on Friday 8th. River was very low, very clear and very cold in the 40's. He didn't have as much as a tap, which was a little surprising. Probably should have hunted down river from Taylor Bridge instead of above. The warm rain could change all that very quickly. The time is coming. Soon and very soon!!! Bill Butts Springfield MO "So many fish, so little time"
Members Saltydawg Posted March 11, 2013 Members Posted March 11, 2013 I'll be there on Thursday. High 60's
Members Saltydawg Posted March 11, 2013 Members Posted March 11, 2013 Do you think this cold weather will knock them back into the lake ?
Dutch Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Not the cold weather but the cold front will along with the high pressure following it.
Members Saltydawg Posted March 11, 2013 Members Posted March 11, 2013 Maybe a couple more weeks before it gets good ?
Members lil sac mitch Posted March 13, 2013 Members Posted March 13, 2013 I have kept it on the down low, but since most people are starting to find out I thought I would let everyone know on here. THE WHITES ARE BITTING LIKE CRAZY! Since the water has risen I have been catching my limit within a couple hours each day. This afternoon a friend and I each limited out with some nice females in under two hours. I am not sure if I uploaded the picture correctly so advice would be appreciated. Thanks
