Members Wornica Posted March 8, 2013 Members Posted March 8, 2013 Arrived around 1 in the afternoon and when I bought my tag they said they had sold around 150 that morning. Lots of room to fish but my son and I went to zone 2 below the hatchery outlet. Everyone was catching fish that were around 12 inches. Just a few bigger than that. Caught about 10 fish in 4 hours on a red san juan worm, black soft hackle and small tan scud. Other folks were doing well on egg patterns. First time to take home my limit on the fly rod and had a good time.
Members Stu675 Posted March 11, 2013 Members Posted March 11, 2013 Congrats, thinking of going down this next Sunday or Monday depending on when I get back home this Friday from out of state. Just want to make a quick day trip, will see what the crowd is like most of the week to make my decision. May just drive down south instead.
dave potts Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 You know what they say to do when work interferes with your fishing. Dave Thanks for the report. To bad I had to work
Members lil sac mitch Posted March 13, 2013 Members Posted March 13, 2013 I was there the same day as this report, alot of people had left and as usual things really started to light up right before dark. A friend and I each limited out with nice fish and ended up catching numerous short browns that made things interesting.
ruthead Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Couple real nice ones there. Bonus to catch the browns. "Pretty soon we may not have any rights left because it might infringe on someone's rights"
