Bubbas Dad Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Ok guys it is one year to the day since the first sightings of white bass in Beaver Creek last year. With the warmer weather the last few days I am thinking they might start to turn on. Anyone heard of any being caught yet? Well I will be at the boat ramp at dawn to see for myself. Hope everyone gets out and enjoys the nicer weather.
Moswimb8slinger Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 was down at the Tubes thursday, didn't see any whites but saw some walleyes (spotlighted after dark with a flashlight)
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Hopefully this rain will put some water in it. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Bubbas Dad Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 WELL we fished most of the day saturday and came up with nothing. I saw lots of boats out braving the wind and waves, but only one that had caught any whites and they said they were all caught below K dock. No other details. So maybe a few more rains and warmer weather will send them upstream?
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 It is early. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
vonreed Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I was down there today in the boat and I talked to 2 different boats who said they both caught their limit yesterday in Beaver Creek. He showed me a nice big sow he had caught earlier today, but I got there after the cold front and they were not biting anymore.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 11, 2013 Root Admin Posted March 11, 2013 How far up the creek do you think they caught 'em?
vonreed Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Right in front of the marina and just upstream to the bluff was the impression I got from him. He said they were all nice big whites to. He was going back and forth there by the park the whole time I was there.
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Staging, it's a start. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Troy Gregg Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I've been hearing reports as far up as sanders hole... not quite to slough hollow. I imagine this little cold snap will push em back a day or two. However, we are on the brink of the first run I imagine. A few days of warmer weather and the should be up and ready to go. Troy Gregg
