Rodmaker Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Looking for a nice resort on norfork I can pull my boat down to for the wife and I. Thinking we may come down in september. How's the fish'in that time of year? Teal point resort or fish 'n fiddle looks nice. Any input would be apprieciated. THANKS! BOB
Members SgtChuck64 Posted March 15, 2013 Members Posted March 15, 2013 If you want to stay at the upper end of the lake, stay at Hummingbird Hideaway, if you want to stay in the middle of the lake, stay at Crooked Hook and if you're interested in the dam area, stay at Hand Cove Resort. All 3 owners are the nicest guys you ever want to meet and will make sure your stay is a great one. Never been there in September, so I can't honestly comment on the fishing.
Members ZX190Jones Posted March 19, 2013 Members Posted March 19, 2013 I am going to Hummingbird Hideaway for the first time, the first week of April I will let you know how it is. We usually stay at Holiday Hills but they never answered the phone!
Members SgtChuck64 Posted March 19, 2013 Members Posted March 19, 2013 ZX., Lou at Hummingbird will do his best to make sure you catch fish. Its a nice, quiet family oriented resort.
Bill Anderson Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Any of you older guys remember a resort on Norfork Lake called Kirkview Resort? They had a grass landing strip. I used to fly in there with a doctor friend of mine and his son on scuba driving trips when I was a teenager. This was in the early 1960s. I often wondered what ever became of it. I have a friend, a Jewish carpenter, whom you should get to know. If you do, your life will never be the same.
