Hi Guys, been lurking here for a while and thought I would let you know of my trip Saturday.

Like all of us, we got the bug bad on Friday as the temp hit a record 81 degrees here in Springfield.

Last minute decision Friday night to hook up the boat and head to stockton Saturday.

The wife had been wanting to get out almost as much as me. Got er up early , but by the time she primped and made sanwiches, (which I appreciate cause when she doesn't go I starve, to lazy to make my own lunch). It was a calm beautiful 51 degrees when we left town. Got to Ruark Bluff and stepped out of the truck and wham, the wind was blowing and it felt 30 degrees colder!!! Not the ideal day for the Mrs but she is a trooper so launched and struggled for a few hours. I really wanted to get her on some fish, any kind! It was too windy to fish most places I like and the points and bluffs that were out of the wind were stacked full of other boats. Not one to barge in on others I ran up and down the lake with a passenger in a pile of clothes crammed completly under the passenger consol!!! If you saw a red and white Bass Cat, nope I wasn't alone! She really hates the wind and cold by the way.
Fished till about noon and caught 3 - 13-14 inch bass and that was it!

Stopped at a couple of flea markets on the way home and ended up eating lunch out, so the wife ended up having a great time!

Spring will be here soon!!!!
