Danoinark
I have a good friend in Illinois, Jack Plotts, who is what I describe as a foam fly guru. Jack takes those one dollar flip flops and turns them into an art form. He drills out the foam, turns them with a dremel then shapes them with an emory board. I have hundreds of his designs. He made these for me recently. A mouse and some mice gurglers to try for them big browns cruising at night. Check these baby's out. Jack is always happy to answer questions for folks if they are interested in foamies. Kansas Fly Fisher
Dano - those look awesome! Let me know how they turn out. Does he offer them up for sale? I'd be interested in a couple if so. Also, I've got a new weapon of my own I think you'll like. I tied up some "wet disco's". Thought of you when I made these. They are basically a wet fly tied with the disco yarn. Did well on them this weekend. I'll get some pics and post them for you. Tight lines. Danoinark
I am going to try them, I hope one night this week John. I don't think Jack has them for sale. I certainly will ask him though. I will let you know and also give you a holler when I test them out. And shoot us a icture of that we disco. I have been playing around with that stuff this week too. It looks pretty good with some marabou tied in at the tail and the stuff palmered over some chenille.
