What a day! Snow, snow, and then some more snow! Woke up and it's snowing outside so I decide to stay home and just relax or actually do some things I needed to do! Finally about 10:00 the wife looks at me and says, "why aren't you out there fishing"? Because it's snowing I say! Well, that hasn't stopped you before she says and she was right. I started thinking about every other time I had fished in the snow and normally have had better days of fishing then. So I start gathering up my gear and load up the truck to go to the mill. The snow just kept coming too. Although it wasn't sticking to the road so I was good to go. By the time I got down there and got my gear together and my waders on it was almost 11:00. Tied on the old dependable olive jig that I tie and headed for the stream. Snow there was about 3-4 inches deep which was a little more than we got in Neosho. The wind was howling though and that was a real pain on my face! I was dressed warm enough except for my face which went numb after a few minutes anyways. Struck gold within a few minutes of being there and pulled in a nice bow that was somewhere around the 12" mark. Game on I say! Fished for about an hour at the mill dam and ended up catching 3 bows altogether. Figured it was time to go by then and headed back home. Best day on Capps I have had for sometime now. Defenitley caught more than last time down and was only there for an hour. The snow sure did help me have good day and I almost didn't go! Had to thank the wife when I got home. Enjoy the pics.

"you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post"

There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
