9 I like for 8 to 12 ft to really thump the bottom hard, I go through 4 to 8 every time out doing that but get tons of bites because of it.

wow. they must really be digging into the bottom. i hope you get better than retail on them.

I like to pull a tail dancer once in a while, it is a walleye lure but catches more spots than anything for me. In the spring a redfin trolled with the rod up high to keep it waking will get some big fish to hit and the longer the line the easier to wake.

never pulled a tail dancer, or heard of waking. time to go research.

Oh ya I have a sweet deal on them unless im low and have to stop off to buy them on the way out but even then 3.99 aint bad and HLS has been great about keeping the price right! I have seen other shops charge as high as 5.99 for them. And people wonder why I shop at HLS its called they are honest.
