Jeremy Hunt Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 What I mean is... You don't tie a whole hook with material from the eye to the point. You are only tying a portion of the hook. So in reality if you see a hatch in a size 20 you need to tie that fly on a size 18 for the right proportions. That's what was confusing me.
