Looks like they are going to try to get it up to 12500 here shortly. Hope this doesn't make the river a muddy mess like it did a couple of years ago.

We had around 17"of rain in a few days when we had the 6 month dirty water river. I was just wondering about the clarity of the water myself. Since 5 yesterday till 5 today it was up only a foot. Hoping for the best, only time will tell. Over 10000cfs now.

I'm more concerned about the water temperature than I am about water clarity. The temp appears to be OK for now. It's good that we've had cooler than normal temps for this time of year.

Temps still look good. I caught fish in the dirty water. Showing no generation on monday for awhile, but I'm leary of that. I hate to miss it but then again I hate to drive down for nothing. I've been there everytime they have shut the water off after extended periods of running water.

Can there be no generation and still be massive amounts of water coming through? The gage still says up in the 10k's. Or is the river level just dropping right now?

They still are pumping some water to offset what was dumped into the lake from the Upper Illinois. We decided to not float it after they bumped it up over 5,000cfs. That's a lot of water for that small river channel. Soon as they cut back the flows, we will float it and chase some stripers!
