Guest Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 It only took 3-4" of rain to get these creeks to flood stage. The big flood in 2011 had 3 of these rain events in a row, but the last one was a 6-8" rain. Lets hope that doesn't happen, Its only mid-April and there's a lot more rain going to fall in the coming weeks.

kjackson Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 A friend on Holiday Island said he dumped his rain gauge at six inches this morning, and we've had heavy rains in Eureka since then--at least another inch. But it's stopped raining now, and the radar looks clear for a while. Fished the White yesterday running up from Holiday, and there were quite a few floating logs that were just below the surface. I'm guessing there will be a lot more now. It's going to be hazardous boating for a bit.
jeb Posted April 19, 2013 Author Posted April 19, 2013 Wow, 6+ inches? Here in the PC area, it stopped at 3.5". I live on top of a hill and never went into town yesterday, but I hear the lower areas down the hill by the lake got pretty good runoff damage. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
