Pine Crest is a great place to camp they do cater to the equestrian campers but they are located close to the lower sections of the blue ribbon area. The people who own it are great folks and have been known to have whole hog Bar-B-Q's for all the campers free of charge on big weekends. I believe that the Trout Busters have held some of their events there.

Take a Child Fishing they are the future of the sport.

What is the sale price? We have always loved the area, but wonder if the trafffic and camping fees would cover the cost of ownership. Any input is wanted.

I have heard $72,000,00 but the bad part of this is the location due to the Hwy YY is not compatible to camper RV traffic . And over the years all plans to improve the road have been shot down by the Federal Government because of impact to the Current River.

Hate to see those campgrounds closing down. I can't stand the atmosphere in Montauk Park where you might as well be at Six Flags. If there are no other options I can deal with it, but it kind of ruins the experience for me. I rarely camp in campgrounds anymore, usually just camping along the river in the few places where there aren't no camping signs. But this will likely serve to crowd those areas further.

As I recall there were two prices, $200+K for the entire property with all buildings and another price for just the campground area. I don't recall the specifics of what is included in the campground area. Hope whoever buys it keeps the campground open.

That's great to hear. I have been trying to contact Pinecrest via the phone number on the website without any luck. Anyone stayed there recently? We r gonna try to stay here next weekend for our big camping trip to the Current. This will be our 5th year to do this trip.

We will be arriving late. What r the exact directions to Pinecrest if ur coming from the state park passing Eagles Park and Tan Vat? Just keep going on YY past the Baptist turnoff and then there is a sign? Never ventured past Baptist so I'm not very familiar with the area.
