Sweet, did I tell you guys, got a kitchen pass to LOZ this weekend with a buddy who has a home down there. Actually the the "nazi" nurse is kicking me out!! LOL. Hopefully catch what is left of the the Crappie spawn. Still hobling around but what does it take to fish for crappie.

Nice dock - check, lawn chair - check, crappie beds under said dock - check, plenty of crappie jigs - check, ultralight rod/reel - check and a trunk monkey to run up and down from the house to supply me with plenty of snacks and livations - 250lbs of check!! Now if the crappie will just hold on and wait I will be on like donkey kong. Better yet if I can quote a well known star "happy, happy, happy" Phil Robertson (Duck Dynasty).

Jerry, he said it's not a tourney?? Right, have you ever fished next to him and it not be a competition? Oh yea and that little giggle he makes when he hooks up when he's catching 3 to your 1 on the same fly (midge). Right, no competition.

I never compete with Rich! I found out that is just frustrating as hell. I fish a spot for 30 minutes and he walks up to talk to me and catches 3 or 4 right where I was NOT catching fish.

I just smile and try to learn. He has taught me a lot and I'm happy with what I do catch.

Did you mean memorial day, May 27th? I might make it down friday or sat the 24th and 25th. I'm out of town the week before so I gotta check the schedule.

I can't wait unitl this WORKING crap is OVER!!! One more year....I'll be 67 and debt free ..I hope

Well Jerry your a little ahead of me. I'm hoping in 4 1/2 years I can hang upy holster. Will be 62 and get the Obama care!!

Jerry our yearly get together/ get away is the weekend before Labor Day weekend. I should be down on the Thursday or Wednesday night before though. So whatever the dates in the end of August is what we're talking about.

I'm gonna try to make it!! I 'll let you know as we get closer. Sounds like fun. I have been trying to get down there for the last 2 months but weather and yardwork and work has lept me away.

WE also have the Grandaughter every other weekend and I love that time with her. I taught her to ride her bike 2 weeks ago and now we are hitting the local bikes paths. She is 6. At least she got me riding again and I hope to get in a little better shape. These desk jobs are killers on your body. I never get enough exercise. My back is OK but starts hurting like hell after a couple of hours in the stream. Standing for very long is just painful. I use a Simms back brace wader belt and that helps....also Excedrin! I think some riding will help also to strengthen the back and legs.
