Members Flyfsh Posted April 20, 2013 Members Posted April 20, 2013 Took my lunch break at spider creek today. The whites and walleyes are still there. Water is up and a little murky. Great stuff. Jim
bferg Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Hey Fly- thanks for the report. Probably going to head out there Tuesday. Mind if I ask where Whitebass cove is?
Members Flyfsh Posted April 23, 2013 Author Members Posted April 23, 2013 The north most cove right at the dam. intersection of dam site road and 187. jim
bferg Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Thanks Jim- appreciate it. If it isn't dumping rain we are gonna try to get on em tonight...
bferg Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Well we were crazy enough to go out in the cold/rain last night. I have fished in much much colder temperatures but I don't think I have ever felt as cold on the water as I did last night at about 8:00. That being said: got on some whites just below Parker. Lots of males with a few decent females mixed it. Natural colored clousers (white, white/red) seemed to do much better than anything too crazy bright. I wouldn't say they were eager to eat- had to fee it to them a little bit.

sfiser Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 are there quite a few whites below spider creek?? seems like that shoal below spider creek always has a few in it. How far up do they normall go, surely they dont make it all the way to the dam?
Members Flyfsh Posted May 4, 2013 Author Members Posted May 4, 2013 All fish will swim all the way to a dam if spawning. I have caught about any fresh water fish near the dam. Table Rock is full and we are backed up with not much moving water again. Bass boats are comming back up river again. Greatv time to rent a kayak or canoe to get to the wadeable water. Jim PS. I looked yesterday in Spider Creek and saw suckers spawning but no whites.
