BATCAB27 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Taking the kid out Saturday morning to try and find some bass. Haven't been on Stockton in a couple of years. Any advice or reports out there?
Lifes2Short Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I would fish the channel swing banks with a jig in Powerline Cove and also try the jerkbaits in the same cove on secondary points. I'm sure the river is still a mess so I wouldn't go any farther than the timber if you head up the Son's. When I was there last Saturday (Roark) I actually caught 5 or 6 smaller bass on the launch ramp dragging a jig down the launch lanes. Good Luck!
9LB Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I am no Jig fisherman, therefore also not a very good Bass Fisherman. But I did actually commit to a jig last Saturday and it was the only lure I caught bass on. I was actually down in the mess of Sons creek. Black and Blue, once i moved to a blugill color trailer I got a better bite.
Walcrabass Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 BATCAB, 9 LB. is right about the Jig bite. It is definitely a good time for it as the fish move up. Jig fishing flows through my veins like blood and if you would like some advice on it please send me a PM.
