Jack Jones Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Such a nice day out that I hopped in the jalopy and rambled out to check out a few conservation areas I had never been too. I started at Buzzard's Bluff. The river was really flowing. It was going way too fast to reasonably fish anything. Although I tried some cranks in the flow, I came up empty handed. Noticed a lot of low water bridges blocked off in the area. Saw the little campground area at that access. Anyone ever camp there?? I'd be curious to know. From there I checked out the Camp Branch Access. It, too, was too strong to throw a line in. So for those that have fished in the areas, is it worth coming back when the flow lessens and throwing a canoe in? Greasy B Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Oh yeah, well worth it. I don't have experance that far upstream but have had numerous good trips a little further down. With all the rain we've had the window for good floating water should carry well into the summer. In low water years it's a big drag. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
