steve l Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 What is the river like above Twin Bridges? Floatable in the Spring? What's the water flow? Very much gravel? Scenery? Fishing (I know it's smallie water)? Thanks for any info.
Brian Wise Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Right now the river has a solid amount of water. I would say that you would be just fine in the near future above Twin Bridges in a Canoe or Kayak. I would, however, make sure there are no lay-downs that cross the river up there as that can happen on high water years. My Youtube Channel
RSBreth Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 In spring you can float it but it drops quickly. Up near Topaz is one of my favorite walk and wade stretches of smallie water.
Nick Williams Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I floated it last summer with my youth group, ended right at Twin bridges... It was a beautiful stretch of river, but for taking teens to go do, it was a loner float than I had expected because the river was slooooooow. I did see a ton of smallmouth though, and it really made me wish I had taken my rod along with me. - Nick
