mic Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I had a wing ding yesterday for Mother's Day that included BBQ chicken. I have a small grill so I had to do it in two batches. I had a great plan, that wasn't so great. So I started the first batch on the grill and got the outside done. I told my wife to slather on some sauce and finish it in the oven. That allowed me to make space for the second batch. She put it in a baking dish, covered, and baked it a 300 until done. Let me tell you that worked out sooooo good. The BBQ thickend up on the meat without burning and "seemed" to seep flavor into the chicken better then on the grill. Secondly, my wife demands well cooked chicken, and I noticed it didn't dry out as much as finishing it on the grill. Could be I was hungry. So if you like to try new things give this a try. I'll be doing it again. Tight Lines, MIC PS... found out the hair is to thin to go without a hat this weekend. Another sign, I'm getting old.
