Members MajorOz Posted May 14, 2013 Members Posted May 14, 2013 Just sold "the plantation" -- complete with my bass pond -- in NE Wright County, and moved to Rogersville. Plan to start wandering the Finlay and James Rivers, after getting all the moving stuff settled. Old guy........retired from AF in '81. Resident of Wyoming from mid-60's 'till moving to MO in '99. Mostly a fly fisher, trying to get used to tailwater trout that don't actually recognize flies, but just those microscopic......thaangs that hug the bottom. More interested in smallmouths on wet flies. Best fishing for me is lilly pads from late afternoon 'till dark, with a light, long fly rod, poppers, and gullible bass (and pugnatious bluegills). Might explore Stockton to see if they have any such. Spend most of life RV traveling -- but NEVER sitting in a park, with yapping dogs, getting orgasmic over shuffleboard -- pickin' and singin' old country music, dancing, sampling regional food, and introducing the lower classes to fine single malt :-) Might (or might not) get a small jon boat with an electric for the local rivers....too old to balance a canoe on moving water. Hope to meet you on the water. oz
