Members CanoeBoy Posted May 15, 2013 Members Posted May 15, 2013 Caught 2 nice bass from shore with a drop shot and a huge @#$#$ walleye or muskie bouncing a jig that broke my line at the shore. Was definately bigger than the 6 lber that caught a few weeks ago. This thing was almost twice as big.............there is some monsters in there WOW!
Jack Jones Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Which end of the lake? What was on the drop shot? Details, man, details......... "Thanks to Mother Mercy, Thanks to Brother Wine, Another night is over and we're walking down the line" - David Mallett
Members CanoeBoy Posted May 15, 2013 Author Members Posted May 15, 2013 On one of the paved roads not far from the boat ramp on a main lake point bouncing a sweet beaver past the bushes. The wind was blowing in my face about 20 mph.I could see the Muskie chasing the jig, after 2 or 3 casts finally hooked him. Was using 8 lb line, definitely the biggest fish I never caught. I caught the 2 bass close to the darn on a red Berkeley bottom hopper on a drop shot. Missed 2 more bass on the drop shot that came unhooked. I'll say the bite at fellows is tough, but this was a good day at Fellows with my experience.
Members CanoeBoy Posted May 16, 2013 Author Members Posted May 16, 2013 Caught a limit on Fellows but thats about it.
luckycraft Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Good to see a bass actually caught out of fellows. Was wondering if any were left
emjay Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 If you hit the coves on the right day, you'll catch bass. Buts its definitely a very big hit or miss lake for me.
