Going to try the ned rig this weekend... from what I have read... fish on slack line...I assume they will load up most of the time ?? or will the bite be stronger?? Thanks

Going to try the ned rig this weekend... from what I have read... fish on slack line...I assume they will load up most of the time ?? or will the bite be stronger?? Thanks On slack line you will feel a lot of them as you move the tip to shake or move the bait. Just a dead pressure. If they pick it up falling or when you are swimming it, you may feel the classic "load up" like with a grub/tube/wacky worm. If they are really on it you may get anything from a tic to line swimming off like a traditional worm bite. Brown fish will at times bull on it like they do with a split shot rig, heavy fast pressure like a catfish bite. That one can be a little tough for kids to handle.
fowlthing Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 Thanks... that helps... can't wait to get on the water.
dtrs5kprs Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Thanks... that helps... can't wait to get on the water. Most welcome. Let us know how you do with it. Should be pretty solid right now, and should hold up with all the increased pressure. The extra boats will hurt some of the other bites, especially anything out off the bank or out in the lake. The little rig will let you duck into some of the smaller safer places and still have a good shot at some nice fish.
merc1997 Bo Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 i think the moss has pretty much gone away. i fished from the dam to big m, and encountered very little. bo
