High River Report

Anyone been to the river this weekend? Been watching the gauge online, but would like a firsthand report, too.

You might want to talk to Darrell from Reeds Fly Shop just outside Montauk Park. I don't have his number offhand, but they have a web site and he has a Facebook page under Reeds Fly Shop. He has been keeping tabs on the river and can give you a first hand impression.

Its back down to 4.0' at Akers...Its usually a milky green color at that level....The NPS will probably open it back up to floaters on Monday or Tuesday...I'd float it instead of wade fishing this week....just a heck of alot easier to get around...and the streamer fishing can be an all day thing when the water is up.
