Hog Wally Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 If you go above highway K bridge where the river splits in two different spots it is a must to stop and turn your motor off. Listen for opposite direction boats before navigating through. I met two gator boats in the jungle run. They stood down as I was the downstream headed boat. Does anybody not know to always yield to the boat headed downstream ? Believe me they don't Easiest way to tell a weekend warrior. No etiquette on water. Or common since.
Blazerman Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 HW, guess you got to that spot and now know the only way through is going right through the narrow jungle. The left side run with all the down tree trunks that used to be the way to go is no longer an option in low water. That right side is so narrow you're right about stopping to listen. Two boats blasting through there could get dangerous. For anyone floating downstream in a canoe or kayak it would probably be better to take the right side to avoid any jet boats headed upstream in the narrow jungle shoot.
