Fished Saturday and Sunday and I was begining to think that they only stocked Browns. Started up in 4 to 5 foot deep just below Short Creek with A white power bait above an inflated night crawler. Had a blast catching 14 to 17 inch browns all morning. In the afternoon fished moved to the deeper ledge just above Short Creek. Must have caught 17 browns before we started catching some Stocker Bows. Sunday morning headed up to the boat ramp down from the dam. I was Fly fishing with a grey scud and red Zebra midge. in the no flow water. and they liked the red midge alot more than the scud. Brother Rick was catching them on ultralight throwing a mini light brown and orange belly rebel crawdad. Talked to 3 fishermen,(one fisherwoman) and told them that it would be a hefty fine if they were caught, as they were fishing with Salmon eggs. They apologized and didn't know about the trophy area. I told them about the Cooper Creek public dock and seen them down there catching some so all was good on the lake.

I've been down here most of the week. I'm having serious trouble catching fish with this constant generation by the corps. I've drifted power bait, salmon eggs, etc. with little to no luck. I've always fished below fall creek (cooper creek to monkey island), but these conditions are giving me fits. Maybe I'll try your night crawler pattern. How much weight do you use when two or three units are running?

Try a 3/16 oz on a drift rig. They will be closer to the bottom the faster the current. Use enough weight to tick the bottom but not so much that you're getting stuck. I started using split shots on the taneycomo drift rig so I can add or remove weight. Try monkey island to the landing. The bridges are good for me usually. I also like mouth of fall creek to cooper.

There was very little flow the days I was there. I leave the wieght off my rigs until I see what the flow is. Just like Flyman I have all sorts of wieght sizes and just try to tick the bottom. I have used 1/16 to 1/2 oz. The worm rig is good but please crimp you barb as they do like to eat it up and it makes releases I lot easier on the fish.

Worms have been working the best but as said before they do like to eat it. If you want to release them like he said pinch the barb or the best thing to do id to just cut your line and leave the hook in them. They will get it out themselves.

Tried circle hooks?

Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to

watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly

know everything there is to be known.
