I have already spoken to a couple guys about this and received great advice, but decided I would double check here to make sure I am not missing anything! My dad and I will be camping floating and fishing this weekend, not sure what outfitter/campground yet, but I'm not looking for advice about that. We will be doing two days of floating, one on the upper and one on the lower, so I am looking for fishing advice. We will be mainly fly fishing, though the spinning rods are more apt to come out during the smallie water. I have already tied up crawdads, clousers, low-fat minnows, even some frogs etc for smallmouth. And I am in the process of finishing my trout side at the moment. Pats Rubberlegs, prince and psychos, some hares ear nymphs. Anything I am missing? Any advice? One question, is it hot enough during the summer to comfortably wet wade the lower stretch? Thanks!!

Big bobber, lots of weight, careful on the casting, roll cast, mend, mend, mend...;) Plenty of Rubber legs like you said.

I will be wet wading if the sun is out. I think it is going to be low 80's and cooler with rain, though. I to be honest don't find so much it is the fly but the day and the location as far as the fishing goes. sometimes, I cycle through flies and I finally come up with a winner. most days it just pertains to being where they are when they're active. so try the standards and move a good bit unless of course you can visually see feeding fish that are ignoring your stuff.

i'll be out maybe we'll bump into each other have a good one

Dead drift? Swinging?

I usually dead drift them under a big nymph, but often catch fish when it starts to swing so try both. You can get the smaller bows swinging them in the fast shallow water.

There have been a LOT of small rainbows in really skinny, fast water lately. Water you would easily walk through.
