Advice Needed To Match A Reel W/ Rod

i picked up a 9' bps crappie maxx mighty lite rod up at the catolog store last tuesday for 15 bucks. i dont think i went wrong but i.m not sure what type of reel to match with it. i plan on using it to jig. swim minnows and ect. since it doesnt have spinning line guides on it i'm not sure what to do. ive got a brand new frabil p10 spinning reel and a new BPS tourney special 10bb spinning reel just sitting around. the frabil made a super light outfit but i'm not sure if i shouldnt go ahead and pick up a tight line reel. any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
