Took Julia back to Bennett on Saturday. There wasn't a lot of people fishing but enough. We didn't get there for the whistle but soon after. Julia caught 4 fish before I even caught one. She's getting pretty self suffecent now. I don't have to do much but keep her from falling down on the slick rocks. We had a great time fishing and catching!! Had some Hillbilly burgers for lunch and headed home!! Great day!!!

Excellent!!!! I was down Sat. at 9:30 and started up by the island. Pretty SLOW for me. Caught 5 all day on assorted midges and Dry.

Only fished a few hours but pretty slow. I think I should have moved more.

Good job fella's. I tried to introduce my step son and 2 daughters to it a bunch of years ago. They had no desire. However I was able to entice my son's best friend and several other kids in the heard.

Murdoc, that quote "Thank you for bringing me" is a powerful message. I remember when my son shot his first (hen, oops) Pheasant over one of my Brittanies out in Kansas, i was about 30 yards from him and he was with one of the local guys. The local guy did an awesome job of praising and congratulating him. He also had to explain why he just fed the Coyotes. That night he also thanked me for taking him. When I told him mom she started to cry, right along with me. Your experience will be with both of you for a lifetime times 2. Tearing up as I type this with fond memories of the dog's and my son!

Some of our best fishing memories came from my youngest 2 children's reaction to our fly-fishing.The one that I truly cherish most of all was a facebook post our son Brett had made.Brett passed away 3 years ago September so that is probably what makes even more special.We had gone to Montauk and had a reaaly good day fishing.That night he posted what had a lot of credit card commercial sound to it "flyrod and reel $400 dollars, fishing license and trout stamp $20, flyfishing with my Dad at Montauk priceless." He remarked that he had more comments on that post than anything he had ever posted.

Brett loved going to Montauk when he got the time.Between girlfriends,work and finishing College that wasn't always an option.Have been trying to get a bench at Montauk in his name for almost 2 1/2 years and hopefully it should happen anytime now.Wrote a check this spring and have a site okayed by the powers that be so now it's just the wait.Think he liked eating at the Lodge as much as the flyfishing. Your quote really hit home thank you.
