They're playing some decent ball lately. I can't see them making the playoffs however. I think they need to add a good starting pitcher and a big bat or two to be playoff contenders. Rumblings are that the Phillies are willing to part with Cliff Lee, but I doubt the Royals will step up.

I don't know that starting pitching is really what they need. I think if they were able to get some serious offensive production out of someone at 2nd they would have a better chance. If Duffy or Paulino can lock the fifth starting spot down I think they would have an even better chance. They need to keep putting up runs like they have been as well too.

They just need a some run support. Pitching has been outstanding, even on this winning streak they still can't score any runs. If they can score 4 or 5 a game they could make a push for the playoffs.

It will be tough. Catching Detroit at seven back but if they continue to just come out ahead in their series's they could do it.

2 games over .500 now. They've been playing well, winning 8 of the last 10, but unfortunately Detroit has won 9 out of the last 10.

Didn't do much before the trade deadline, adding a right handed batting platoon type outfielder. I was hoping they would get a bat at 2nd base. It will be interesting to see what they do during the off season.

Yeah they need a bat or two. Tejada is hitting .300 but they don't play him that often. Looked at the standings today, Royal have won 9 of the last 10, but so have Cleveland and Detroit.
