gitnby Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I'm dropping my air card and want to go with a router with Wi-Fi. So far, I've found that Century has 10MB and Frontier (sudden link) has 15MB via DSL/cable. They both also have unlimited phone packages and TV, which I might do? I have DISH HD now. Have not heard good things about satellite-based internet, but would consider it? Anyone know of other good options in the area? Looking for faster connection if available. We are down Joe Bald Rd. Thanks for any help!

Thanks for any help! When I first moved here at Cape Fair I tried a local provider which was wireless and after a year of unsatisfactory service I switched to Centurylink 10mb service it worked but had some trouble until their tech turned the service down to a 7mb and I have not had any more trouble. The phone lines were not good enough for a good 10mb transfer rate. I have no experience with the satellite service internet but I would expect some connecting problems with the internet as I have with the video when a storm and/or heavy cloud cover occurs with DirectV. I did bundle the internet with DirectV to get a break in price of the internet service. You do not have to have a landline for the internet service. My phone service is cell phone only.
