Dewayne French Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Okay this goes back a while, but they were popular back in the early to mid 90's and beyond. On bassboats mostly aftermarket I believe. The first one I saw was about 94, I was amazed. You could have a switch at the console and bow and flip them to deploy and raise your trolling motor. I can't remember if it was a gear driven or how. It beat pulling the cord all day. I just started the search and thought yall would be the best stating point. They may not have been very reliable as they are not still around? Anybody remember these units. If so were at?
zarraspook Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I goggled auto lift trolling motor and got 20 or so web site and 4 where to buy... https://www.google.com/search?q=trolling+motor+auto+lift&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
Dewayne French Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 Yeah I did that search also. The Omni isnt really what I wanted. The stow and deploy is what i was looking for like the old models. Probly like the old power gators those pages are talking about. Man it would be nice!!
Pepe Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Those were pulled from the market because they just did not hold up. Great idea that needs to be "reinvented".
Members lucky13 Posted August 16, 2013 Members Posted August 16, 2013 I have a power gator pm me if interested
