Quillback Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Well you guys got me all fired up to fish the bushes, so I did for quite a while and didn't have much luck doing that. caught a couple of keepers, one on a spinner bait and another on a creature, also caught a couple of shorts on a Trick worm. Just could not find a consistent bite doing that. Got another 4 bass early on the Ol' Monster on a gravel point, decent keeper sized fish but nothing big. Big fish of the day was an 18" 3 lb. smallie that came on a tube. Did just a little deep jigging, only one Kentuck fell for that, but there could be a deep bite out there, I didn't give it a chance today. Stayed in the bushes for the most part. Water is a bit colored up the White arm, 4 feet or so of Viz. Water temp 80-81. Very few fishermen out today and not that many wake boats either.
Members CanoeBoy Posted August 15, 2013 Members Posted August 15, 2013 I fished today around Indian Point. Tough bite, but caught a few Kentuckies jigging in 60 ft of water. That was about it for me, but it was a nice day to be on the lake.
Quillback Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 Quill, did you Texas rig that tube? Yep, Texas rig.
