bologna Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Wanted to go fishing today, but only had a short amount of time so I thought I'd check out the Little Sac close to my house. I started out fishing a small rooster tail and was catching a few very small bass and bluegill. Then I found a hole behind a stump and tried a small white jig. To my surprise I pulled out a 10" crappie. After that I was catching them almost every cast. Ended up catching 6 crappie between like 8 and 11 inches, a small white bass, and numerous small bass and bluegill. I was surprised to catch crappie that far up the little sac, especially of that size near that shallow of water. I probably pulled 20 fish from just that one small hole. All were released unharmed.
podum Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I'm against releasing 9 inch + Crappie unharmed. Nice report! I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
dennis boatman Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 ...don't be surprised if you catch a Walleye... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
vonreed Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 You forgot to mention where you were fishing, i'd like directions, lol.
trythisonemv Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 This may be an outdated comment by a new member but i love the little sac out near Eudora and it is definitely a distinct possibilty to take a nice walleye or ten in the early spring. Also, i caught a hundred plus swollen white bass there. One of which weighed in at three and a half pounds.
