Brian Wise Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 The second fly in the Nick Granato Series.....The Ghetto Tramp. Built on a 3-5/0 platform, this large streamer is the real deal. Obviously a musky based fly, this thing can also be stepped down in size to chase anything that eats. Lancer09 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 This. This is cool. How many flies can you get from a plume up front?
Brian Wise Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 This. This is cool. How many flies can you get from a plume up front? I have only gotten 1 per plume before you get to the thick part of the stem. My Youtube Channel
Lancer09 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 well... looks like if I ever tie these up I'll be taking a swim if I snag one.
rfd515 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I have only gotten 1 per plume before you get to the thick part of the stem. Could you just put them in a dubbing loop like steelheaders do on intruders?
Brian Wise Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Could you just put them in a dubbing loop like steelheaders do on intruders? Absolutely. I have a bunch of strung Ostrich so I have done that too. My Youtube Channel
Lancer09 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 The only issue I've had with putting ostrich in a loop is I can never get it super clean where I tie it off, but with practice I'm sure it would work. However that would be cutting a ton of fibers off to put in the loop.
