We hit the lake 8-17-13. Me and my Dad. My Dad has bad knees so he comes with me now and then. Sucks getting older, anyway we got 9 bass. The best 4 bass were 4.3 swim jig, 3.2 floating crawfish beaver bait, 1.5 swim jig, 2.5 beaver bait. We had couple short strikes just hitting the tails of the floating beaver bait. We tried something new and took rage trailer off and used the floating crawfish. I think they were finicky because of the short striking. www.floatworm.weebly.com

Here's hoping it's not the "last" trip he takes with ya bud. I don't think that's what you meant. Nice fish pics and memories...

My father's last trip with me was on the White for big brown. I cannot remember the guide's name, but he was a police officer near Gassville. Elvin? Molting crawdad specialist, We caught four fish - 5 to 9+ pounds. We turned them all loose. At the end of the day, dad said, "Brother (his nickname for me) that was great, but these boats and seats hurt my knees." I never got him out with me again, but he was nearly 80 at that point.

Take the "dad" out as often as you can, take pictures.
