Sam Potter
The river is up and running strong. Great for streamers, but it is also a little hazardous. There was a 3 foot rise yesterday, but it dropped pretty quick. It should be down to 700 CFS tomorrow, which like a said is great for streamers, but it is also great for getting an unexpected dunking. Make sure you always have extra warm clothes if you do get wet. At these temps it could be very serious very quickly. I also suggest that you fish with a partner in the winter. Just to be on the safe side. The backroads are clearing, but are by no means clear. They are still ice and snow packed. The backroads are always the last to be cleared.
