This is the biggest game since.......Mizzou vs. Georgia last year. Missouri is obviously a lot better than we were going into that game last year. This game is on the road, but Georgia is without Todd Gurley (probably) and Marshall. Don't know what they are going to do at running back. On the other hand, their defense is very young and has not really kept anyone out of the endzone this season.

With that said......Aaron Murray is one heck of a QB and is not going to let Mizzou come in there and run Georgia off their own field. He is one of the few QBs that can make something happen even with a very limited number of offensive weapons around him. He is going to have to on Saturday, because I think Mizzou has every chance to get into the 40s against that Georgia defense.

So I think the scoreboard is going to break in Athens, as we have an all offense Big 12 style game between the hedges. Ultimately I think Georgia uses one of college football's best homefield advantages to win. Georgia 55 Missouri 48.

BUT-a win is very much within reach here. Many who are in no way associated with Missouri are picking exactly that to happen, including several on ESPN. And if we get it, we not only become bowl eligible halfway through the season, but we also are looking at two massive home games (Florida and USC) to most likely decide whether we are headed for Atlanta to face (one would assume) Alabama.

So yeah, this is big. This is probably the difference between being on the path to play in a mid-tier bowl or being solidly in the BCS hunt. Let's go ahead and get the win.

Mizzou could win this game, but winning on the road is hard. Georgia has some extra motivation since the "experts" like Missouri this week. I could see this game going in any direction, but will take Georgia 45-31.

Let's hope Mizzou can prove us wrong.

After Georgia's Marshall went out against Tennessee they put in a kid who's like 5'7" and weighs as much as a tick in a tar bucket. Can't remember his name, but he's fast. Thing is... we're fast too. After him I have no idea what they've got at RB but bottom line is we need to sustain drive's and keep the ball out of Murray's hands. Defensive pressure on him is imperitive. A win in Athens would be HUGE for respectability. A&M earned it in their first year. Time to step up... we never "really" did it in the BIG 12.

I think this is the biggest game they have had in years. I don't think GA is crippled, maybe dented, but still respected in the polls. It is all about the polls, right?

It's always tough in this phase of the season when schools come off the easy teams and meet the other teams who look good coming off their weak schedule.

Is Vanderbilt better or worse than TN? That's a question no one knows.

I think my prediction is very close!

Yeah, it should be a high scoring game, but I have a feeling the Mizzou defense surprises people and gets a couple of turnovers, and holds Georgia under 35. I also think Georgia's home field advantage has some effect and their defense begins to play a little better, and they hold Mizzou under 40. My heart wants to say Mizzou 38, Georgia 33. My gut says, unfortunately, Georgia 34, Mizzou 31.

Yea, that 5'7" running back had over 100 yds. Inexperienced receivers and our D getting pressure on the QB hopefully equals turnovers. Bad routes, tipped balls could go in our(MU) favor. I hope Franklin got those INT's out of his system.

We've got more offensive weapons this year than I ever remember. Running backs and receivers galore and a healthy offensive line. Best running game in the SEC right now. One of the best D lines, good linebackers and adequate D backfield. I really think it will all add up to a victory for the Tigers. Of course I've thought that many times over the last 40 years but I think this time I've got lots of stats and facts backin me up.

If nothing else, it's just good to have games with this kinda feel halfway through the season.....not just meaningful in a "desperate for bowl eligibility" kind of way, but to actually be involved in a game that's gonna, one way or another, have an impact on the outcome of our division. By this time last year we were just searching our depth chart to get 11 healthy offensive players on the field and trying to avoid falling too far below .500. Now we are, to some degree, contenders in our conference. Whether we are in the first or second tier is to be determined over the next three weeks.

Here's how I see it over this three game stretch against UGA, Florida, and USC:

0 wins.......Independence Bowl, here we come. May as well start packing for the trip to Shreveport:)

1 win..........we're a pretty good (top 25) team. On our way to a really good season, but not ready to challenge for championships in the SEC

2 wins..........top 15 team, in the hunt for the BCS

3 wins...........not happening, don't worry about it yet.

I'm thinking one win from that group as my prediction, but I have high hopes for two.

UGA- 37

Mizzou- 30

As much as I want Mizzou to win this I don't see it happening yet.

Pinkel has a hard time getting his team calmed down and focused in games they have to step up big in, IMO. It's just something that seems to haunt some coaches, I think Stoops of OU has some of the same problem. Having said that I think that might make all the difference, if they overplay, they lose, if they play calm, cool and collected they win or scare the heck out of GA, but probably prevail.

I think Al might well be right in his assessment.

The good news is that there is nothing to lose. If we were coming in 4-1 or even 3-2 we would really need the win. Now, if we lose we momentarily step out of the polls but have a great chance to climb back in very soon, with bowl eligibility not even a distant concern until we start losing to Kentucky or Tennessee. We're still on pace to exceed expectations for the season unless it ends up being 45-14 or something.

I'd just like to see them have a chance to win it in the fourth quarter. That would make me feel great about our chances against Florida and USC at home. A win would be great, but that would be icing on the cake. Mainly I'm hoping we solidify our gains and keep taking steps forward. That may result in a loss or a win (they are the #7 ranked team in the country in their home stadium, it's not like this game would be a gimme even for the most elite of teams), but it will be evident regardless.
