Members WayneB Posted November 8, 2013 Author Members Posted November 8, 2013 This entry fee is at division level. The entry for each Regional $135.00 with Big Bass.
Members WayneB Posted November 9, 2013 Author Members Posted November 9, 2013 Due to the volume of people that are negative against this, the new entry fee will not take place this year. We will resume our original format of $50.00 entry fee plus $10.00 big bass. Tablerock, Stockton and Pomme De Terre tournaments will have an optional $30.00 side pot.
Champ188 Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Agreed in full, rangerz21. At 70% payback and only a $50 entry fee, the winner's share stands to be less than $400 on a 20-boat field. Side pot would help but kind of hard to justify pulling the boat out of the garage for no more money than that.
Members WayneB Posted November 28, 2013 Author Members Posted November 28, 2013 I try to put more money back into the fishermens pocket, by raising the entry fee to give more money back. Guys I run 16 tournaments a year I know what it costs to fish a tournament. USA Bassin is a good circuit, but being nation wide jumping threw the hoops is harder. I been given the choice to tried things to get more boats and more money back to you guys but I been shot down. Like I said USA Bassin is a good circuit but the entry fee is low therefor the paid back is. We went to a $30.00 side pot to help some. $5.00 toward 2nd big bass and the rest split 60/40 or 70/30. Champ188 is right with a field of 20 boats = 1st,$320.00 2nd,$190.00 3rd,$120.00, 4th,$70.00 This circuit is design for fishermen that don't want the high entry fee. $135.00 is the regionals entry fee this is a good pay back. There is 2 Regionals a year. I'm open for suggestions on this subject!
GloryDaze Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Don't have a dog in this fight, but find it humorous that folks with a $50,000 boat complain about paying $60 a man to fish in a tournament Priceless..... Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory
Members WayneB Posted November 29, 2013 Author Members Posted November 29, 2013 Boater cost = gas, truck,boat - $250.00 Food = $15.00 Entry = $60.00 with big bass side pot = $30.00 non-boater cost = half of gas = $125.00 Food = $15.00 Entry = half, $30.00 half side pot = $15.00 Winnings = 20 boats,1st, $320.00 maybe big bass = $100.00 side pot = $100.00 2nd big bass leaving $500.00 70/30 = $300.00 Boaters cost to fish = $225.00 Winnings = $720.00 split half =$360.00 profit = $135.00 What picture does this leave????
GloryDaze Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Don't forget you would have bragging rights, can't put a value on that! I get it, but how are the payouts gonna be worth it if you don't charge more? Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory
Members WayneB Posted November 29, 2013 Author Members Posted November 29, 2013 This figure is not $120.00 entry fee it's a $50.00 entry plus big bass $10.00 plus side pot $30.00 Total = $90.00 you don't have to get in big bass or side pot $50.00 entry only
