mic Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Greasy B promised to teach me how to fish the Woollies this winter as I never had much luck with them. For my birthday, I recieved Woolly Wisdom, How to Tie and Fish Woolly Worms, Wolly Buggers, and Their Fish-catching Kin by Gary Soucie. For a pattern book, I really enjoyed reading all the instruction, history and tips found through out the book. I'm realitively new to the Ozarks, but I'm really surprised on much influence Ozark outdoorsman have had on the Woollies. The first half of the book covers the Woolly Worms, the second buggers, and the third on "Woolly Like" flies. All in all, a great book for a fly fisherman's libary. Two thumbs up from me.
Brian K. Shaffer Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 mic - you can look up my name (which is spelled wrong) in that book in the back. I called the company and they sent me a signed copy for free. Nice of them, huh. Seeing as how they lifted my dialogue from a forum post in 1998. Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
