Members GoDoe Posted November 22, 2013 Members Posted November 22, 2013 What is the ideal amount of time after they quit generating for you guys to fish at the Watts area. Do you plan the trip accordingly or just go when you can go. I sort of think the moving water helps so sometime after the highest flow and before the flow has stopped or bottomed out.
dgames Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 The LI fishes well as the water is falling. The added current definitely helps. If you get there right when they stop, you might want to start at the dam of the gravel lot if you don't want to wait for the water to start falling at Watts.
On The Fly 6 Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 Water wasn't real clear last weekend, but it was definitely better than previously reported. Fished up by the dam and caught a few. The group of guys I was with had hit the waterfall that was below the island and did really well on rusty orange and red midges. I caught my fish on the hare and copper. Hoping to get out before the holiday!
