Members Greg W Posted November 26, 2013 Members Posted November 26, 2013 Fished ventris, coose, PC, behind islands, and beaver shores. Found very little bait. The large collection of bait was at the mouth of coose. Water temp was 52 As any got a better report ?
Feathers and Fins Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Rocky Branch behind the island birds were busy busting on bait stripers and Whites had pushed up 3 hours ago... Stripers were running 12 to 16lbs whites were about 1 to 2lbs. Ducks were dead https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Greg W Posted November 27, 2013 Author Members Posted November 27, 2013 F&F - was that you duck hunting in Larue this morning?
Feathers and Fins Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Nope, but I know who it was https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Greg W Posted November 27, 2013 Author Members Posted November 27, 2013 It was a cold morning. Not much bait bunched up around the island today or in Larue. I was thinking that we had good groups of bait balls this time last year.
Feathers and Fins Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 The birds have been popping up from Larue to Beaver shores, talked to a few different guys who have been chasing them and they said some hold bass some are holding stripers and others have walleye but all of them that are being pushed up have something on them. Sounds like a run and gun type day with a lot of time on Binoculars but its paying off. My buddy who has been doing it a lot said have three rods rigged. 1 with a 1oz white bucktail 1 with a pencil popper and one with a spoon and be ready to move fast. I love that type of fishing it can be very productive but man you cover water and on cold days like this you better be dressed for it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Greg W Posted November 27, 2013 Author Members Posted November 27, 2013 When you mention birds are you talking about gulls? I have not seen any gulls the last two days. I almost approached the duck hunter thinking it was you but I didn't. I am reluctant to move in on anyone fishing. I am glad I didn't. I enjoy reading about your fishing trips. Maybe one day I will be able to greet you
Feathers and Fins Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 The birds are terns that you want to look for small white many think they are gulls but they are terns. The hunter was my best friend said most the birds were headed toward Blue Springs. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
