I know it looks pretty bad outside today.......and it is going to be pretty cold for the next few days. When this weather has settled in by about Tuesday or so it will be prime time to Winter fish. I cannot go for several days because of family obligations but I would highly recommend some Jig fishing for the Crappie and Bass. Just keep the life jackets on the ENTIRE TIME !!!!! If you happen to catch a fish or two please send in a post.

Ready to fish,

My buddies that have been using the A-Rig have been striking out. I am thinking that the chasing is about over. Jigs, Jigs, Jigs, Jigs, and after that.....Jigs, Jigs, Jigs, just remember to trim them down if they won't really take them in their mouth.

Fished yesterday out of Ruark Bluff for bass from 11-4. Didn't catch many short fish and had 21 keepers. All keepers were from 1.10 to 2.7 lbs, no big fish. Fished chunk rock banks that had a little wind. Most fish came on a jerkbait with a handful on the rig. Water was 40 degrees at ruark and 42 near the dam

Powerdive,

smbasser did give an excellent report!!!! But as far as ALL the detail you could ask for...???? I was personally hoping for a GPS point for each fish he caught!!!! Oh well, you know what they say about people in certain places wanting ice water......

Thanks again smbasser. We do truly appreciate it.

I didn't bass fish today and only talked to one bass guy. He never had a bite and was using jerks and jigs.
