LostMyWife Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Ya know Dano you're right. Why, you should just use those adminstrator powers of yours and kill the whole topic. Although, if you did that, Terry might tke you off his letter to Santa Claus. Yes, I'm That Guy
jdmidwest Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Just another prime example of mis-information on the world wide web. He probably guides in a trout park somewhere! I noticed his website does not give any info as to where he is from..... He needs to learn how to use a spell checker also, John is mis-spelled... gonefishin Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Hey GF What if we all wore snow shoes on our wading boots. The footing would be great and the surface area would distribute our weight in such a way as to not disturb the river bottom. ROFL LMW that is a good plan. From no everyone wading has to wear either show shows or those big air filled shoes that allow one to walk on the water rather than in the water. HEH HEH I would rather be fishin'. MTM Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 FYI- How many of you folks think the San Juan shuffle started on the San Juan River? Wrong. It started on the spring creeks in the Livingston Montana area. I fist saw it done on Armstrong Spring Creek in 1971. It ws in August and the fishing was real slow. A guide I had met showed it to me but made me promise not to show clients as it would hurt the fishery. He told me another guide had showed it to him on the same creek in 1969. It has been around for many years. I do not use it but I know some do. I did use it one time on a client that was a wise guy. Tough fishing and he said he would bet 100 dolors that no one could catch a fish. I told him I would take that bet. I took his rod with the nymph on it went just around a bend were he could see me but not what I was doing with my feet. In 5 minutes I was plasying a fish. And yes he paid me the 100 bucks. At that time a days guide cost $80 bucks so I did real well. He and I became friends and I told him how I did it about 5 years later. LOL I made him promise not to use it and I know he dosen't. He fishes the spring creeks many days a year now and is a very good fisherman. We get a good laugh over that now and then. Like I said I don't do it. No challenge if you use that method. Poeple that use it just want to be hero's. Ron
