shockley32 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 It's been way tooooo long - between out of town trips, a nasty virus, catching up on work and deer season it's been tough making it to the water. Went yesterday and had a great trip. Started real slow - fished main lake brush piles, graph showed fish everywhere but could only get two nice slabs in the live well. Gave up on piles after a couple of hours and started searching the channel edges, when we found shad we found crappie and lots of them. There would be 300-500 yard stretches with a blank graph and then boom!!!! It was loaded. Would catch several real quick and then had to move to stay on them. We ended up with two nice limits but had to go through the dinks to get them. At one point I had 10 shorts between keepers!!! I guess it looks promising for the future. Water temp 35 degrees Jigs - 1/8th oz vertical Color - chart, blue, pink Depth - 25-35 fow just off bottom. Hope to get out again soon! Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
Members Muskie Bob Posted December 28, 2013 Members Posted December 28, 2013 Glad to hear you take advantage of the milder weather. I'll have to keep in mind to search channel edges whenever the weather turns nice enough for me to go fishing. Thanks for the report.
ten_scoach Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Great report. Thanks Hoping to find the same success in the James River Arm of Table Rock tomorrow.
packersooner Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Excellent report Brad. Glad someone is able to get out and catch em.
