Selling brand new with tags, never used, ECHO 3 fly rod 6 weight 9 foot 4 piece with case and rod cloth. Includes ECHO Ion 4/5 reel new in box (never had a fly line on in) and a brand new Airflow super dri Xceed Trout high performance WF6 fly line.

Price: $350.00 shipped

Info regarding fly rod from ECHO website:

ECHO3 rods are the most advanced, high performance rods that have graced the steps of Rajeff Sports. Using high modulus graphite fiber and modern resin systems, ECHO3 rods are both light and exceptionally strong. Designed to have slim diameter blanks and be incredibly light in the hand ECHO3 rods look, feel, and cast like rods selling for twice the price. With crisp fast actions and modest power levels these rods perform at the highest level over a large range of fishing conditions. ECHO3 rods also feature a new high density cork handle giving you more sensitivity and durability at this very important, but often overlooked connection point. Through the design process the Rajeff team was amazed at how smooth and responsive the rods were. They felt light in the hand and have low swing weight. You won't find a better rod at any price.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks

Just trying to sell some fishing equipment I have laying around the house that I am not using.

Trying to give the potential buyer the most info I have. Are you saying you would rather have a one-liner with no description and make everyone reply/message for additional info?

Any particular way a post in the classified section should read?

Thanks

Sorry to see that you have ran into the same kind of folks like I did when I was trying to help a guy find taxidermy stuff for his lake home. Seems like if you try to be friendly and provide information, somebody gonna get all huffy when you don't reply like the want you to. Never have been to the Ebay store but I suspect it's a place to buy/sell/trade stuff just like this place and a fellow would say pretty much the same things at either one.

Gentlemen-

I have bought and sold hundreds of items on eBay throughout the years. For me personally, the more information I can be given regarding an item I may purchase the better/safer I feel bidding on this item.

Yes, it may read like an eBay posting...probably because I have posted and sold many many many items on eBay before. I guess my question is why would anyone care how it reads? Does someone on this site read a classified posting and think "hmmm sounds like an eBay posting...I am not gonna buy this"??

Instead of posting this on eBay I figured I would post it here first and see if anyone locally (within the Ozarks region) would like to purchase this before listing nationally.

I am more than happy to provide pictures upon request.

Brian, feel free to PM me and discuss/describe what you would do differently (besides adding pics) to make this more of a "Ozarks" classified add and less eBayish.

Thanks

This place just tends to be a little more personal than eBay is all he is asking. I don't mind fs ads like this however, Why are you selling it? Do you have factory pictures or your own?

Stuff like that.

Lancer, thank you very much for the suggestions and reply.

I am actually selling this for my father who won it at a raffle and already has two other 6 weight rods, thus it will just sit in a corner collecting dust.

I will be able to post pics, however I have been fishing the white river the past few days. Leaving tonight to avoid the storm hitting tonight/tomorrow and will post pics when I get home and take some.

Paaka, your ad was perfectly fine these guys live on this forum, I'm not even sure they fish. Don't let them bother you, they will post just to post and talk just to see their own writing on the www. Oh, and to answer your question allot of these non buying tire kickers do want one-liners, it gives them something to talk about, this is all about status and how many posts you have don't you know!
