rps Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Outstanding job delivering information in a way all of us can understand. F & F's information translates well downstream to the upper end of TR.
Members Greg W Posted January 3, 2014 Members Posted January 3, 2014 Great information. It is a new way of looking at things for me. Being from Texas you do not have the number of creeks and springs that you have here. I really appreciate your insight.
Feathers and Fins Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 Greg; It takes a lot of time to figure out Beaver and then she gets bitchy and shows you how little you know. That said the for certain issues are the pre-spawn pattern and Fall Pattern. In spring I look to shad and crawfish, I bought the aquavu for dropping down and looking in stumps to see what color the Crayfish were in spring more than to watch the fish ( though tv fishing is fun ) Knowing the color of those craws helps catch two of my favorite critters in the lake (Smallmouth and Walleye). The shad pattern is easy find them and fish around them. Fall pattern is real simple find the 4 to 6'' Gizzard shad and have fun. It really is that simple. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Greg W Posted January 3, 2014 Members Posted January 3, 2014 How large of fish have you seen with you aquavu? How deep? I have a similar system that I purchased in Texas. I have not tried it here. It may be fascinating to play with it in clear water.
Feathers and Fins Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 I had to wrestle it back from a very feisty Striper probably 20lb class, and seen a probable 50lb flathead, Love watching smallies chase it they are so cute. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members skeet88bt Posted January 7, 2014 Members Posted January 7, 2014 Thanks for this F & F!. That was very kind of you. Looks like you spent some time putting that together.
jolicious Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I might confuse bass logs with catfish logs if you aint careful. I caught a 5 or 6 pound catfish on Swepco last weekend (jerk bait - THAT was a tussle) Nothing of value to add - just visiting
J-Doc Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Okay...........I admit it. I had these laminated and stored in my boat. Just in case. :-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
