I am looking to make a trip on the 10th. I am hoping to put in at Mutton Creek. If anyone is out and about, would you please post if the lake is open? I am driving from a ways away and would not like to drive there to fine out that I can't get on the lake. I am afraid that with this cold weather coming in that the ramps may freeze over.

Not just that pard, with the snow we may have lots of side roads leading to the lake that don't get plowed off.

Keep checking the Stockton forum because someone who gets out or lives close will let the rest of us know what is going on.

Personally, I'm bustin' a gut to get back on the Walleye.

I was on Stockton today. By the time you get here I wouldn't be surprised if the main lake was all that was open. All of the coves are freezing over. Some all the way out.

We fished Wednesday, and saw 38-degree water all day. Won't take much to skim it over.

The crappies were biting well at 54-58 feet. Also got a few over brush at 25-30. Only had one walleye, although it's been very good for the eyes so far this coldwater season.

trying to get out this weekend 1-11-14 does anyone know if any ramps are open

I'm an hour away from Stockton, and I haven't been up there since the holidays..... so no help on open ramps here. I would be interested in hearing if anyone has been on Turnback lately? I have to head up that way soon to pull down tree stands and might haul the boat if it was worth trying.

Remember - If at first you DO succeed, try not to act surprised & quit while you're ahead.
