Bigmo Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Left the kings river for clearer water up the white and found chocolate water to pt. 21. Water is 39 degrees and very dark in that area. Threw a rig, jig, spoon and jerkbait with no luck. Turned around and headed back down the kings past kings marina and found nice green water. Temp was around 39. I managed to catch 3, all about 15 and one eighth all on a 1/2 oz. war eagle spoon. Most fish I saw were down in the 30' range. Tons of baitfish out there but I couldn't get any to hit the spoon besides the 3 I caught. All 3 bass were almost as white as a white bass.
Quillback Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Thanks for the report, darn fish are being stubborn this winter.
