John Andrews Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Anyone been out there and if so any luck? I got my fish finder installed and am itching to give it a try
RSBreth Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Still some ice yesterday - probably more tomorrow.
smbasser Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I floated below the dam on Sunday, water is usually a little warmer due to generation above but Sunday wasn't the case. Great float but nothing over 2 lbs. Only thing I could get bit on was a jig fished tight to cover. Hope this helps. Probably caught 12 bass total, lmb, spots and 1 smallmouth
Kee sims Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 We went out last Sunday. 2 on jigs 9 on jerkbAits. 1 2 pause for about 5 seconds seemed to get most of our bites

Hwy 160 also known as South Campbell is the first take out below Springfield Dam. I just floated that section last week and saw an older gentleman doing well. You will have 1 low water bridge to overcome, but if you stay all the way to the right side, you can get underneath without having to get out. After that the river is clear to float.
John Andrews Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Well, if it warms up some I'll give it a try. thanks
