Bill B. Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 The Bass Pro Shop in Columbia no longer carries NRX rods, or any other upper-end rods, for that matter. Is there anyplace in KC or mid-Missouri that carries the full line-up of NRX models? I'd also like to check out Kistler rods and some others.
blue79 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Maybe Everharts's in Clinton.I usually skip the row of tackle next to the rods so i wont browse all the rods.
dtrs5kprs Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Maybe Roger's Sporting Goods in NKC. +1 in the KC metro. Might also try Mondo Tackle. They have been online, but are supposed to have a new store around Lenexa/OP area. They list Dobyns, St Croix, etc online. Not sure about in the shop. Seems like there used to be some shops around LOZ that were a little more "pro shop" oriented. http://mondotackle.com/
Pepe Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I really like my NRX worm rods but never could figure out how to test a rod without using it. My wife prefers her Kistler.
jeb Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Our Cabela's has a good inventory of NRX's, so maybe the one in KC does too? John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
drew03cmc Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Last I was in there, Cabela's had a terrible rod selection. Andy
dtrs5kprs Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Last I was in there, Cabela's had a terrible rod selection. Yep. They are 15 minutes from me. It is really hit and miss as to how they are stocked. You folks in NW Ark hit it lucky, or it is just b/c it is still relatively new. The KCK store was well stocked in the first few years it was open.
Bill B. Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Last time I was in there, the KCK Cabela's had very little. Neither did the Independence BPS. Tombstone in Columbia doesn't carry much. I checked the Mondo Tackle website. Nothing there that I want to see. Neither Everhart's nor Rogers had anything listed online that I want to see. I'll keep looking.
